One of my favorite Rue features we do every issue is the editor's picks pages. Mostly because I get to pick all my favorite things based on whatever the theme is that month. For our latest issue our editors' picks were inspired by each of our favorite designers. I chose one of my all time favorites, Emily Henderson. I seriously don't think there is a room or space she has created that I haven't been completely smitten with, so it was a no brainer. You can see the whole feature, and the other editors designer picks at ruemag.com, but I thought I would share a few of my picks here as well. Enjoy!
Rue Magazine 4th Anniversary Issue
These week we had our 4 year anniversary issue at Rue Magazine. I could not be more proud of the team and especially our fearless leader Crystal Palecek for not only creating Rue but for keeping it fresh and inspiring for the last 4 years. I can't wait to see what the next 4 years bring! I wanted to share just a few of my favorites from this issue but I highly recommend heading over to ruemag.com to see the entire issue.
New Rue | Outdoor Living & Entertaining Issue
The new June issue of Rue Magazine dropped today and it's a beauty! One of my all time favorites I think. The entire Rue team deserves a special shout-out for this issue because even with me on "maternity leave" and Crystal half way around the world, we pulled off one of our best issues yet! It's also a special issue because it was my first with my new little assistant, baby Ingrid. Below is just a taste of all the amazing features this month, head over to ruemag.com for the full issue.
New Rue + Rue Cooks Feature
Once again it's launch day for the newest Rue Magazine. This month the entire issue is devoted to weddings and entertaining, so you'll find endless inspiration for all your summer soiree's. I also got to team up again with my friend and amazing photographer Eva Kolenko on this months' Rue Cooks. We decided to make a strawberry galette with vodka lemonade, perfect for a summer picnic. It turned out delicious as you can see below. (to see more and get the recipe visit Rue Magazine)
New Rue + Rue Cooks Feature

The day an issue launches is always an rewarding one but this time I'm extra excited because I got to team up with the amazing Eva Kolenko on our Rue Cooks feature this month. Below are a few outtakes from our fun day making bagels and lox. Make sure to read the issue to see the whole story and get the recipe.
New Rue
Exactly a week after launching the new website we've dropped the newest issue of Rue Magazine! We might be a little crazy, but I think it's all worth it, this issue might be our best yet. With a beautiful studio visit with Erin Hiemstra of Apartment34, an eclectic Monterey home tour and a dreamy romantic Secret Garden themed entertaining story the inspiration is never-ending.
Rue Daily Launch
For those of you waiting with bated breathe after last weeks teaser. This week after many hours and late nights we launched Rue Daily. Where you can find all the great content you've come to expect from Rue Magazine but on a daily basis!! This recipe for Espresso and Walnut Dar Chocolate Cake by Jennifer Martiné is just one example of the great features to come. Enjoy!
Exciting Secret!
Some of you might have noticed my sporadic posting lately, well it's because we've been working on a big project over at Rue Magazine. We aren't revealing it just yet, but get ready because Monday we get to spill the beans and I can't wait to share it with you guys!! Until then please be patient with my blog posting. Thanks!
Dream Home: Stockholm Schoolhouse
Looking back at Rue archives recently I was reminded of one of my all time favorite home tours. This Swedish home of Artist Ylva Skarp and her family is simple, perfection! The soft grey walls with wood and white accents is so pretty and fresh. And who doesn't want a swing in their home?! When can I move in? :)
Rue Holiday Issue
It's Rue Magazine launch day, which is always a mixture between excitement and sleepiness from the late nights. But it's always so worth it to finally be able to share the fruits of our labor. This issue is chock full of great gift guides, DIY's and entertaining inspiration for the Holidays. Below are just a few of my favorite outtakes from the home tour, but I of course highly recommend checking out the entire issue! :)
Rue Cooks with Central Kitchen
As many of you already know, last week was the launch of our Fall issue over at Rue Magazine. I loved working on this issue, and it's been great hearing back from so many of our readers, saying how much they loved it as well. So I thought I would share one of my favorite stories from this issue. When we got the images in for the Rue Cooks feature I was blown away. We visited the innovative and popular, Central Kitchen, which is located right here in San Francisco. The perfectly paired smoked trout and chopped beet salad looked irresistible, especially as photographed in their beautiful restaurant by the super talented Edyta Szyszlo. Make sure to check out the entire story at ruemag.com pg. 68.
